- HOTEL INFO: Make your reservation today! You do not want to be left without a room in Douglasville. We all stay at either the Holiday Inn Express (770-920-9228) or the Sleep Inn (770-920-8887). There is no group rate and your best bet is to go online and book a room. Make sure you are selecting the hotels that are on Concourse Parkway.
- Next meeting is Feb. 20th and it's a Social Meeting, meaning we do not meet at the center. We will meet at a location TBD and we will have a few announcements but it's basically a chance for everyone to meet and mingle.
- Sponsorship: Please be hitting up everyone you know for sponsorship; your parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, your dog walker, your acupuncturist, etc. It doesn't have to be a $500 donation, it can be $25. Every little bit helps (really!!), it adds up.
- Currently, we have 1 team that has turned in the most Hit Lists and 3 people holding the lead for the most money brought in at this point. Team Smarty Jones (Ryan Hoyt's team) has turned in 17 hit lists. Way to go!! In first place for most money brought in so far is Hank Gurley (donations of everything from $25 to $500), in second place is Austin Boyd and in third place is Jeff Harris.
- Committees: Provisional Members (new members) will be assigned to a committee/shift in March for Derby Day weekend. Steering Members (1+ years) will be able to sign up for a committee/shift at the March Meeting. It is very important that you show up to the March meeting to get the committee/shift you want. If you can't attend Derby Day, please email Mitchell (mitchellcollier@gmail.com) and Gretchen (gretchenworthy@hotmail.com) ASAP so you don't get assigned a shift.
- Auction: If you have any connections to resorts, hotels, vacation homes, etc, please contact the Auction Girls Jessica Toney (jesspooh78@aol.com), Allison Escott (allyescott@gmail.com) or Margaret Hopkins (marghopkins@gmail.com). Please see Auction Flyer for another idea of how you can get involved with making a themed basket for the auction.
